Ministry Update~ November 2

Dear Friends and supporters,

We haven’t had e-mail access the past couple of weeks, so we need to update you on the ministry. We were in a new church (to Encounter!) in Kankakee, IL three weeks ago. This church has a Christian school, so the team held jr/sr. high chapels in the morning, elementary chapel in the afternoons, and revival services at night. There was a tremendous response, and the pastor and school administrator said that it was the greatest thing they had ever had in their church/school! The kids especially were very hungry-hearted, and God did a wonderful work in their lives during that week! The church has invited us to come back again next year.

From Kankakee, we went to St. Joseph, MI – just 25 minutes from our home in Buchanan! It was a joy to see many Life Action friends who came to visit during that week. Also, we were able to see our new granddaughter! Tim, Sarah, Rennah, and Nessa came to stay with us for the weekend, and again mid-week. We put Tim to work teaching our team some new songs we had not yet learned, and they really enjoyed having him help them. It was a good week as we ministered to that church, which has been a regular stop for Encounter for many years.

Next meeting was in DeMotte, Indiana – another new church for Encounter, but the pastor and his wife used to travel on our Life Action team years ago, so they were already dear friends. We had a great week there, and some of the Kankakee teens came over to visit a couple of nights.

This week we have been in Athens, Michigan – out in the middle of nowhere! We are about 30 minutes south of Battle Creek. This church is our director, Ardy Parlin’s, home church and another regular stop on Encounter’s schedule. It has been a blessing to minister to these folks, as well as the Christian school kids daily. It seems that everywhere we have been, people have commented on how much God has done in their lives in this short week. God has released people from bitterness and restored broken relationships every week – teenagers have surrendered their lives in deeper ways to the Lord, family relationships are being strengthened, and pride is being dealt with. What a joy and blessing to watch God at work, changing lives every day! We have a wonderful God, and we have a wonderful team to travel with! How blessed we are to be in Encounter! Thanks so much for your prayers and investment in our lives. I will be working on a full newsletter, hopefully with some pictures to show you, in the next week or so. God bless you for your partnership with us to see America experience revival again!

Nancy (for all the St.Clairs!)

Update~ August 18

Our family is just finishing up the first week of staff training with Encounter Ministries. What a joy it has been getting to know the new team members – 15 of them! They seem like very sweet, dedicated young people, many of whom have dreamed of being Encounter team members for years! God has been evident in our meetings with them; rehearsals are going very well, they are learning sign language for several songs they will be singing this year, and they are open to God’s dealings in their lives.

Ardy just announced the destination of our missions trip this year… we are returning to India to invest in the lives of the 1800+ orphans, 750 widows, 150 national pastors, and 200 nursing students! The team went there last May and were greatly impacted by their time there. Ardy said that of all the countries they have ministered in, India has had the greatest effect on the lives of the team members, so we will be going there with them this year! One big change is that they are planning on going in either January or March instead of May because the temperature is better (80’s instead of 110+!!), so we have a HUGE prayer request for you . . . we need to raise $3000 each in order to go on this trip! That will be $15,000 for our family alone. Please pray that the Lord will lay on the hearts of His people the desire to participate in the ministry to widows and orphans in India through our team shortly after Christmas. We know He has promised to provide for our every need, and that this is not a large amount to the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills. It will be exciting to see how He provides for us! We are thrilled at the opportunity to go and see first-hand the work that Encounter has been involved in for several years, and to have a small part in ministering to those dearest to the heart of God – widows, orphans, and the poor. If you are interested in investing in this ministry opportunity, you can send your gifts to Encounter Revival Ministries, 2200 Blue Mountain Pkwy, Harrisburg, PA 17112 and earmark it for ST. CLAIR MISSION TRIP FUND. Thank you so much for your love and interest in our family and ministry!

We are praying for you – if you have a specific request we can join you in, drop us a note by e-mail and we will be honored to bring your needs before the Father’s throne. Thank you for all you do, and for what you mean in our lives!

New Ministry Change

In case you haven’t heard yet, my family has left Life Action after 30 years of ministry and moved on to a sister ministry called Encounter Revival Ministries. This is a result of a long decision making process and I am happy to report that they are really enjoying their time with Encounter.

Right now, they are involved in summer youth camps and Christopher, Charity, and Melody are really enjoying ministering to the kids there. In September, my family will hit the road with their new ministry. Encounter is very similar to Life Action and my Dad will be able to continue preaching revival principles in churches across America. An extra exciting opportunity that lies with Encounter are the oversees missions trips that they take! My family is very excited about those trips. Please pray for them as they embark on this new adventure with Christ!
